Tim Allen new voice of Chevrolet

Chevrolet has chosen actor and comedian Tim Allen to be the new voice of the brand. Allen will replace athlete/actor/sportscaster Howie Long, who has been the spokesperson for Chevrolet since 2004. Not only is Allen known for his roles in “Home Improvement” and for the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the  “Toy Story” trilogy, but he is also a Michigan native. We will begin hearing his voice today for TV advertising for the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze. Currently, Allen also does the voice for the Pure Michigan campaign aimed at increasing tourism in the state.

The choice of Allen comes at a time where Ford has had much success with the use of Mike Rowe, who is known as an advocate for the blue collar trades.
