The Volkswagen Jetta is Getting Fresh with Canadians

Or at least now Canadian consumers can buy their Jetta “fresh.” In this latest spot by agency Red Urban they highlight that fresh, exciting, impulsive feel of buying a brand new VW. After all, can anything really beat that fresh car smell?

Executing the creative idea, however, was much trickier. Key to the spot’s believability was finding a location where two cars – at roughly 3,000 pounds apiece – could be hung from the wall or ceiling. Since VW Canada’s spots avoid using computer graphics as a way to reinforce their authentic style, a very large space was needed. The stables of a downtown Toronto were booked for the shoot due to their high ceilings and authentic style details, like the subway-tiled walls so common in traditional food markets.
